Details

In honor of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Shekh Mujib’s centennial birth celebration, the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon 2021 will be an extensive and significant event to mark the occasion and to promote Dhaka City’s cultural heritage. The race also aims to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among Bangladesh citizens, as well as to involve the youth in promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon 2021 is being held in collaboration with The National Implementation Committee for Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 100th Anniversary Celebration and coordinated by Armed Forces Division. The event is organized by Bangladesh Army, co-organizers are Army Sports Control Board, Sports Vision Ltd, and Trust Innovation Ltd., with Technical Partners being Bangladesh Athletic Federation and Bangladesh Olympic Association. This event is the first of its kind in Bangladesh and certified by Association of International Marathon & Distance Races (AIMS).
